Yoga This hour long class will help to improve flexibility and build core strength, whilst also improving the alignment of your body. This is a great way to unwind after a hard day of studying. By practising yoga, we are finding peace and tranquillity within; whilst simultaneously maintaining a healthy, strong body. Every Monday 6pm-7pm Joanna Free
HIIT High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a fast paced class that will burn body fat and improve fitness levels. You will get to push, pull, squat and sweat your way to a fitter body through this fun fast paced session. Every Tuesday 7pm-8pm Ash Free
Yoga We love Yoga so much we run it two times a week! Join Joanna for the second Yoga session of the week, finding your peace and tranquillity once more. Every Wednesday 6pm-7pm Joanna Free
Meditation Every Thursday 6pm-6:30pm Milly Free
Boxercise Every Thursday 7pm-8pm Free
Zumba Every Friday 5:30pm-6:30pm Free

Additional Information

At CODE we believe a healthy body promotes a healthy mind and we are proud to be able to offer a variety of Free Fitness Classes. These classes are held in the CODE Fitness & Dance Studio located in Block C, and places are limited each week so turn up early to avoid disappointment!

  • Classes are based in our CODE Fitness & Dance Studio (Block C).
  • Please join our Facebook page ‘CODE 17-18 Fitness Group’ to keep up to date with the latest classes and information.
  • Classes on the timetable are COMPLETELY FREE! so just turn up on your own or with a friend.
  • Classes are suitable for all abilities.
  • Please make the instructor aware if you are new to the class or have any injuries or illnesses we may need to be aware of.

The Gym

Our Gym opening hours are from 6am-12pm, all users must have an induction before use. This can be arranged at our office or by calling 0116 233 5678.

  • Ollie

    Hello, I'’m Ollie. I have studied sport and exercise science subjects for the past 6 years, through completing my A Levels at school in Leicester and recently graduating from the University of Lincoln with a degree in Sports Development & Coaching. For the past year I have been working as a Gym Instructor for PT7; running circuit training and group fitness sessions around Leicestershire.

    I am passionate about the fitness industry and am committed to improving the health and wellbeing of individuals. My favourite types of training (as a trainer and participator) consist of all variables of HIIT; from the treadmill to group Tabata sessions. I’m here to guide and motivate you, to reach your goals faster.

  • Hannah

    Hannah is an experienced dance instructor who is extremely passionate about engaging people with dance. With over 10 years experience teaching multiple dance styles to all ages and abilities, she is excited to bring her teaching skills to code to provide a class that will hopefully leave you sweaty and with a smile on your face. Hannah started her dance training at a young age following the RAD ballet syllabus along with IDTA tap and modern. She later went on to train and compete in hip-hop and street dance styles, as well as receiving a first class honours degree in dance from De Montfort University. Since her degree, Hannah has directed a huge dance programme at studios she launched over in America. Hannah is a qualified NATD dance teacher as well as British Gymnastics coach and holds a UKCA qualification. Additionally, he choreography has won competitions all over the globe in multiple world and European championships. Above all, Hannah believes dance should be fun and is excited to be teaching dance fitness to Code students.

    Hi my name is Ash. I’ve been a fitness instructor now for the past 2 years working in and around the Leicester area for PT7. I am passionate about helping people reach their fitness goals through nutrition and exercise programmes designed to be manageable and fun.

    I currently run the Circuit Training class here at Code which is a mixture of CV and resistance training designed to help burn calories.  My classes are fast paced with an emphasis on technique and intensity but designed for all ability levels.

    Joanna is a Sun Power Yoga teacher, dedicated to bringing traditional Hatha yoga and Vinyasana yoga flow into modern life. Her classes serve to heighten the mind and body connection through the breath (pranayama) whilst also increasing flexibility and vitality. Passionate about introducing yoga to all ages, Joanna teaches kids, teens, adults and older adults, bringing her focus on stretching, strengthening and relaxing.

  • The HIIT session with Ollie on a Monday is a fantastic session. It works the whole body and you are more than likely to wake up the next day feeling sore however there is no better way to feel good about yourself! If you are mentally bogged down at the levels of uni work and application to your studies, this is one way to let it all out. He will guide you through a fantastic variety of exercises which will get the heart rate up. Do not be put off you do get a series of breaks over the session. Enjoy - it is well worth attending.
