Calculate your in goings and outgoings. What is essential? What could you do without? The key to money management is to plan in advance – don’t get to the last week of the month surviving off pennies!

There are many fantastic apps to keep track of your spending. Apps like Monzo keep track of your outgoings and breakdown your monthly spend.

As a student you will have access to loads of amazing deals. Many companies offer student discounts so make sure to check before every purchase!

Council Tax

Council Tax is not applicable to full-time students. Your university should have already informed the local council that you are a student but if you receive a letter in regards to paying council tax, please ask your university for an exemption certificate and forward this to the council, they can then update their records.
