You need to be covered by a TV Licence to watch or record programmes if you:
This could be on any device, including a TV, desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, games console, digital box or DVD/VHS recorder.
It’s illegal for anyone in CODE to do this without being covered by a TV Licence. If you break the law, you risk prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000 plus compensation.
A standard TV Licence costs £174.50. You can pay all in one go, or you can spread the cost via Direct Debit. If you don’t need your licence for a full 12 months, you could apply for a refund.

To watch apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+, you’ll need to bring a streaming device such as an Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, or similar. The TVs in our rooms don’t have built-in smart features, so a plug-in device is the easiest way to access your favourite shows.
