As a University of Leicester (UoL) student, you’ve got plenty of accommodation options. With so many choices, finding something that genuinely stands out can be difficult. 

That’s where CODE comes in. We have over 1000 rooms at CODE Leicester, with a small number of studios in houses close to UoL called CODE Classics.

Students love our facilities and choice of great studios, but there are plenty of other reasons to love us:

Travelling to University of Leicester

Bicycle
The easiest way to get to the University of Leicester is by bike, it takes about 9 minutes. The good news is we have plenty of bike storage for you on site and your cycle is covered by our contents insurance! 

Don't have your own bike? Not a problem, we have ones you can hire for free!

Bus
If you want to get the bus part of the way, you have the option to walk 7 mins (0.3 miles) to Wilberforce Road, where you can catch the number "20" bus. Take 5 stops to the Royal Infirmary Hospital (Stand GF), then walk the last half a mile (about 10 mins) to the University.

Walking
You can take a 30 minute walk to the campus.

City centre living

With our student accommodation, you’re just minutes away from the bars, restaurants and take-aways of Braunstone Gate, with much of Leicester’s nightlife on your doorstep.

There’s a convenience store (Morrison's Local) on the corner of our street, so you can stock up on whatever essentials you need. While there’s a late-night, national supermarket (Tesco) less than five minutes’ walk.

If you walk 5-10 minutes, you’ll be in the heart of Leicester, with all the choice of retail, culture and food you’d expect from a vibrant city centre.

Leicester railway station is a two-mile car journey away, perfect for travelling home or visiting other cities.

If you'd like to be a little closer to campus, we have a few alternative flats - called our "CODE Classics" available in Lancaster Road, Tower Street and other places around Leicester.

We have self-contained studios of various sizes over 3 floors. Ideal location for De Montfort University (just 4 mins walk) – and not far from the University of Leicester. Over half the studios there are the same size as a Super Large Studio at CODE Leicester.

Please note, these are similar but not the same as the CODE Leicester studios – but are a great choice for those who want something really affordable. CODE Classic tenants still get to use the CODE Leicester facilities for FREE, including the gym and communal spaces, as well as attending our events. 

You may also be able to get a resident's parking permit for £25 per year in some CODE properties. You would need to confirm this with Leicester City Council and CODE cannot be held responsible if a permit cannot be obtained.

Your electricity is billed monthly in a CODE Classic property and all rooms come with free wi-fi and there are laundry facilities on site.
