We think you'll really like living in Coventry. If you're heading here to study, here's our top tips on making the most of the city.

Moving to Coventry City-Centre

Discover all the advantages of living in such a compact city

Welcome to the city!

Moving to Coventry city-centre is an exciting experience!

You might not have lived in Coventry before. Or maybe you lived in a CV-postcode but further out, or even on the University of Warwick campus.

We think you'll really like living in the heart of everything!

Whether you're living in our studios and flats in the north of the city-centre (CODE Fairfax Street) or shared-flats in the south (CODE Harper Road).

Let's run through why!

Small but mighty

  • Coventry itself is a fairly large English city (around 345,000 people)
  • It's among the largest 10–15 cities in England by population.
  • However, its city centre is more compact than you'd expect for a city of that population.
  • You can comfortably walk across most of the central shopping area in about 15–25 minutes
💯 Compared with more sprawling places like Birmingham or Manchester, Coventry's city centre is compact, easy-to-navigate and walkable, while still feeling unmistakably like a major city.

Here are CODE's key highlights of the city:
