We'll give you a site map when you arrive but if you want to, you can download the site map (PDF).

FINDING US

By car

Leicester is just off the M1 and close to the A1, allowing easy access to the North and South. The M69 and M6 are also close by and offer access to Birmingham, Wales and the South West. See information later on about car parking.

By rail

High-speed train links connect Leicester to London and many other large towns and cities. The railway station is a 5–10 minute drive or around a 25-minute walk from CODE.

Our address

40-72 Western Road
Leicester LE3 0GH
Tel: 0116 233 5678

You will find the car parking entrance (see below) on Western Road but please note the Office entrance is on Briton Street, opposite the Morrison's Daily store (LE3 0AB).

PRE-ARRIVAL TASKS

  • Pre-book your arrival slot -  you can choose these on your student portal

Slots are filled on a first come, first served basis - and popular dates fill up quickly. If you are unsure of the day you will be arriving, you may prefer to wait to book your slot. There is no deadline by which you need to have booked your slot.

We would always encourage you to book a slot. But if you need to arrive at a time when the slots are full that is okay but please note, we will not be able to offer you a car parking space on site.  It is also likely the office could be very busy - as all slots are already full - and you may have a short delay in getting your keys. We will try to minimise this if we can. Please choose the "outside of the above times" from the slots if you cannot select the time you want.

If you need to change the slot once you have booked, please contact our Online Website Chat team (you cannot change this yourself).

  • Complete your Induction forms + Health and Safety module (available soon) on your student portal
  • Upload a clear head and shoulders photograph

Also make sure you know which room number you are in - this is important to know where to go when you arrive on site.

Please ensure you have done these things, otherwise your key collection may be delayed.

ARRIVAL SLOTS ALREADY FULL?

We strongly advise you find the next available slot and book this. If you are not able to do this, and need to arrive at a time when the slots are full, that is okay but please note, we will not be able to offer you a car parking space on site.

There is on-street parking on Western Road which costs £2.00 for 10 ½ hours. We recommend trying the section of Western Road between Morrisons and the Schnaps store.

It is also likely the office could be very busy as all slots are already full and you may have a short delay in getting your keys. We will try to minimise this if we can.

ARRIVING ON SITE

If you are arriving by car and you need a parking space, you will need to have booked an arrival slot on your student portal or by contacting us on leicester@codestudents.co.uk.

To access the car park, please access the site via the Block B gate on the map in our gallery. A member of the team will meet you there and will tell you where to park and check-in. You will be allocated a 1-hour time slot for unloading

Upon arrival to site, you will need to head to our office to collect your keys. Make your way to Briton street, our office is opposite Morrison's Daily.

We have a limited number of trollies available to help you move your items, just ask in the office when you collect your keys. These are handed out on a first come, first served basis.

Please note: Permanent car parking is not available at CODE Leicester. There is on street parking in front of the building, but these are not owned by CODE and could be liable for parking tickets/fines.

IN THE OFFICE

When in our office, you will be seated with a member of our team to work through your move-in checklist. This should take about 15-20 minutes.

You can make this quicker by making sure you have completed everything on your student profile, including having a clear passport-style photograph of yourself and uploading a photo of your student ID to the My Documents section of your student portal.

You should also have aStudent ID or University Offer Letter (emails are acceptable).

YOU MUST have completed your Right to Rent check prior to arriving (see below).

Should the office be closed, please refer to this page for out-of-hours arrival information.

RIGHT TO RENT

As part of your contract with CODE Student Accommodation, we wanted to let you know that you will need to prove your Right to Rent before you can move in. This is a legal requirement for renting in England.

These can be uploaded onto your student portal in the documents section.

Non-British/Non-Irish citizens

You can prove your Right to Rent to us but you must do so no more than 30 days before your move-in date.
You should provide:

  • A share code generated through your UKVI account
For more information, including how to generate a share code, please visit the official GOV.UK guidance: Prove your Right to Rent in England.
You should email this code to us at the email address below.
  • If you are unable to generate a share code, please contact us so we can discuss how to obtain copies of your original immigration documents.

Right of Abode in the UK

If you have the Right of Abode in the UK (this includes British citizens and some Commonwealth citizens), you can use a Certificate of Entitlement as proof. This may be:

  • A vignette (sticker) in your passport, or
