Why complete an inventory?

We want to make sure your room is in the best condition possible for your stay. It will have been thoroughly cleaned and any maintenance from the last tenant completed before you move in.
But you may spot the odd minor issue or snag - that’s why when you move in we ask that you complete an inventory to make sure we have a note that things weren't quite in tip top condition.

What to add to your inventory

You have 7 days to complete your inventory - please do to take pictures of anything that isn't perfect, that includes any scratches, stains, holes, or dirty paintwork.

Pay particular attention to:

  • the state of your appliances and mattress
  • checking beside the bed and under the desk
  • ensuring you have smaller items like a remote control for your TV
  • ensuring you have a rubber end to your doorstop
  • ensuring you have a soap dish in the bathroom

It is important you make notes of anything that does not look 100%.

We have also taken images of your room before you moved in, so we can compare in the case of any disputes. 

There are lots of fields to fill in on the form, but it is important you fill them in with as information as possible, otherwise you risk receiving charges at the end of your tenancy.
