Payments

4 easy options

Based on whether you have a guarantor or not we can offer:

  • Monthly payments (requires guarantor)
  • Quarterly payments (requires guarantor)
  • 50/50 payments
  • Pay in full

We accept payment by most leading debit/credit cards and you can easily pay on your student portal.

You can also make payments in advance of any set payments date, giving you the freedom to budget as you need.

If you prefer to pay via bank transfer, we can also arrange this but your bank may charge for this service.

Creating a budget based on Student Finance

If you are using student finance / maintenance loans to pay for your accommodation, it can be hard to calculate your rent costs.

Because everyone's student finance payments are different, we can help you decide which room fits your budget.

The good news is:
💷 Student Finance can pay all or most of your rent, depending on how much you receive.

📅 If your household income is higher, and your maintenance loan is lower, you'll still only have to pay a small top-up.

😊 And if you go for an electricity package contract, you'll be able to avoid any large surprise payments.

How we can help

We'll look at:

  • How much Student Finance you receive.
  • When your payments arrive.
  • How much is left to pay each month - or how much you might need to top it up.
  • The easiest way for you to pay based on a budget plan.

Example Budget Plan

The example below uses payments from a maintenance loan (away from home, outside London) where your household income is £45,000 per year.

Three of your CODE rent instalments line up with your loan drops, but with the first payment made before you move in.

This is based on a £169 per week room.

Ways to pay explained

4 instalments (requires Guarantor)

Quarterly payments

If you know someone who is a homeowner in England (including the Isle of Wight or Isle of Man), Wales or the Channel Islands, and is willing to be your Guarantor, you can pay your rent in 4 easy instalments or monthly.

If you are on a 4 instalment plan, your payment dates will be:

  • 24th July (this is an advance payment and must be made before you move in)
  • 24th October
  • 24th January
  • 24th April

Monthly payments (requires Guarantor)

With a guarantor, we may also be able to offer you a monthly option.

On a monthly contract, we would split your total rent into 10 payments.
These start on the 24th July 2025 and ending on the 24th April 2026.

2 instalments

For a 2 instalment plan your payment dates are:

  • 24th July (this is an advance payment and must be made before you move in)
  • 24th October

This is open to all residents, but is a popular choice with EU or International students.

Pay in full

If you would like to pay your rent in one lump sum, that is not a problem.
Your full payment should be received before you move in.
