As part of your contract with CODE Student Accommodation, we wanted to let you know that you will need to prove your Right to Rent before you can move in. This is a legal requirement for renting in England.
Non-British/Non-Irish citizens
You can prove your Right to Rent to us but you must do so no more than 30 days before your move-in date.
You should provide:
- A share code generated through your UKVI account
For more information, including how to generate a share code, please visit the official GOV.UK guidance: Prove your Right to Rent in England.
You should email this code to us at the email address below. - If you are unable to generate a share code, please contact us so we can discuss how to obtain copies of your original immigration documents.
Right of Abode in the UK
If you have the Right of Abode in the UK (this includes British citizens and some Commonwealth citizens), you can use a Certificate of Entitlement as proof. This may be:
- A vignette (sticker) in your passport, or
- A digital certificate in your UKVI account (you will need to generate a share code).
If you have any questions about preparing your documents before you arrive, please don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing coventry@codestudents.co.uk
